SEC: Quickley Leads No. 10 Kentucky Past Florida

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Immanuel Quickley scored a career-high 26 points as the 10th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats defeated Florida 65-59 on Saturday night for their sixth consecutive win.

Keyontae Johnson led the Gators with 19 points and 9 rebounds, nearly recording what would’ve been his 4th double-double in 5 games. Over the past 5, Johnson is averaging 16.0 ppg and 9.0 rpg.

Kerry Blackshear Jr. finished with 18 points and recorded the 1,500th point of his career. The grad transfer had 1,152 points at Virginia Tech before joining the Gators.

Florida limited Kentucky to its fewest points of the season (previously 67), but could not overcome 16 turnovers.

Noah Locke saw his 3-pointer streak end at 24 consecutive games with a 3-pointer, tying the 7th-longest in UF history (Anthony Roberson).

A back-and-forth game featured 11 lead changes and 10 ties.

Florida outrebounded Kentucky 30-27 but committed 16 turnovers, leading to 20 points.

Florida hosts LSU on Wednesday night, hoping to avenge an 84-82 loss to the Tigers on Jan. 21. Kentucky visits Texas A&M on Tuesday night in the lone regular season matchup with the Aggies.
