Edwardh Named ECHL Player of Week; Icemen’s Fowlie Nominated

John Edwardh of the Adirondack Thunder is the ECHL Player of the Week for Oct. 12-14. Edwardh scored two goals and added two assists for four points in Adirondack’s season-opening 6-3 win at Maine on Saturday.

The 23-year-old made his pro debut at the end of last season, appearing in two games with the Thunder and one game with Binghamton of the American Hockey League.

A native of Calgary, Alberta, Edwardh played four seasons at UMass-Lowell, recording 87 points (38g-49a) in 136 career games.

On behalf of John Edwardh, a case of pucks will be donated to an Adirondack youth hockey organization by Inglasco, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Inglasco has donated more than 39,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
