ARENA: Jacksonville Sharks Add Veteran Ken Walton to Roster

The Jacksonville Sharks signed defensive back Ken Walton for the 2018 season for his fourth year of arena football and first with the Sharks.

Walton (6’2”, 195) joins Sharks after spending the 2017 season with the Wichita Falls Nighthawks. During his time with the Nighthawks he played in seven games completing 27 tackles, averaging 3.9 a game and caught one interception.

In 2016, he played for the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks where he landed 25 tackles, nine pass breakups and tied for first on the team with nine interceptions. Walton also helped the Steelhawks to a 8-2 record and a playoff berth in the PIFL. Walton began his rookie season after an open tryout with the Nashville Venom of the PIFL in 2015.

Walton spent his college career at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi after transferring from Cumberland College.

Walton is a native of Lebanon, Tennessee and was a star high school football and basketball player at Lebanon High School. His senior year he played in 11 games at receiver and defensive completing 61 tackles, three interceptions as well as gaining five receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown on offense.

SHARKS NOTES: Center Dante Moses signed with the Jacksonville Sharks for his fourth year of arena football and first season with the Sharks. Moses (6’3”, 315) joins the Sharks for his fourth season of arena football and first with the Sharks. Moses signed with the Sharks during the 2017 off season but did not report to training camp. He instead signed with the Arizona Rattlers…defensive lineman Damien Jacobs, this will be his second season of arena football and second with the Sharks….last month Jacksonville added kicker Nick “The Deuce” Belcher and offensive lineman Deveric Gallington.
