ECHL: Jacksonville IceMen Roster Grows as Clark Signs

The Jacksonville IceMen have announced the signing of AHL and ECHL star Emerson Clark.

The experienced left winger from Whitby, Ontario, will join the IceMen for their inaugural season opener on Oct. 14 at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.

“Emerson played for me last season before being called up to the American Hockey League,” explained IceMen Vice President-Hockey Operations/Head Coach, Jason Christie. “He adds experience, play making and toughness to our roster.”

The 24-year-old Emerson has played in 192 ECHL games with 54 goals, 45 assists (99 points) and 746 penalty minutes for Toledo, Greenville and Tulsa.

He has also played 41 games in the American Hockey League (Chicago Wolves and Utica Comets) scoring 4 goals, 7 assists (11 points) and 71 penalty minutes.

During the previous two seasons, Clark played 71 games under current Christie in Tulsa, where he tallied 53 points (30 goals and 23 assists).

Clark began his junior career in the 2008-09 season playing for hometown Whitby Fury before moving to the Ontario Hockey League with the Oshawa Generals.

He was signed by the ECHL Toledo Walleye and started his pro-career with 150 penalty minutes in 25 games.
