GOLF: JAGA Elects Officers for 2017

The Jacksonville Area Golf Association (JAGA) elected its 2017 officers at its annual meeting at Marsh Landing Country Club. Over 75 directors and guests attended the meeting, with former PGA TOUR Commissioner Deane Beman the featured speaker.
The 2017 Officers are
FRED SEELY – President; Timuquana Country Club. Former newspaper editor and now executive director of the Eye Research Foundation, which promotes vision treatment and education.
RON JERIN – Vice President, Administration; Palatka Golf Club. Owner, Promo Express of Florida, a specialty advertising firm.
JEFF ADAMS – Vice President, Tournaments’ TPC Sawgrass. Recently retired from the PGA TOUR’s Communications Department.
RANDY NADER – Secretary; Sawgrass Country Club. Former owner of Nader’s Pest Raiders, a Jacksonville-area pest control firm.
DON GILMORE – Treasurer; Omni Amelia Island Plantation. Retired President, Otterbein Senior Lifestyles of Lebanon, Ohio.
BARNEY POSTON of Hidden Hills Country Club was reappointed executive secretary. JACK MOREHEAD of NAS Jax was reappointed assistant treasurer and ARCH COPELAND of Deercreek Country Club reappointed JAGA webmaster.
JAGA is an association comprised of over 40 golf clubs in the Northeast Florida area. Its mission is to promote golf through tournament and related events and activities. JAGA also manages a scholarship program that annually provides college funding for 26 area students.
